Family-Owned. Locally Operated. Built for Efficiency
Since 1994, Country South has provided the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas with reliable vegetative waste disposal.
Country South LLC is a greenfield landfill located on 68 acres in Boones Mill, Virginia, on the Roanoke–Franklin County line. Opened in 1994 and owned and operated by Don and Dean Bandy, the facility was designed from the ground up with long-term efficiency in mind. Our focus has always been simple: accept only vegetative waste, along with brush, stumps, asphalt, concrete, and fill dirt — and do it in a way that maximizes usable airspace while meeting strict environmental standards. We are a local, family-run operation that serves residents, contractors, and haulers across the greater Roanoke Valley and beyond.
Our Commitment
Country South LLC is proud to call the Roanoke Valley home. As a locally owned and operated landfill, we understand the importance of serving the contractors, builders, and communities that keep this region working. From the beginning, our facility was designed with both efficiency and responsibility in mind. As a modern greenfield landfill, we operate under strict federal and state regulations to protect the land, groundwater, and surrounding environment. Our focus on accepting only vegetative waste, concrete, and asphalt allows us to manage waste in a controlled, environmentally conscious manner while maximizing usable airspace. We take compliance seriously. Protecting the communities around us is not optional — it is part of how we do business. At the same time, we remain committed to providing reliable, cost-efficient disposal solutions for the businesses that build and maintain the Roanoke Valley. This is our home. We are invested in doing the work the right way.
